A new addition has launched in Carlstadt with the opening of The Secret Garden Italian Café & Eatery, now welcoming guests at 735 Garden Street.

The café is the dream-turned-reality of Gianna Macolino, a longtime member of the local food scene, who spent the past seven years at Giovanni’s Deli in Secaucus.

The team brings over 15 years of combined experience in the food industry to this space designed for relaxing meals, casual bites and connection.

Guests can expect a counter-service experience offering sandwiches, wraps, breakfast burritos, paninis, lattes, espressos, housemade pop tarts, fresh mozzarella, and Italian empanadas—all served in a welcoming, home-style atmosphere that reflects the Macolino’s roots just blocks away on Garden Street.

It’s currently open six days (closed Sundays) a week.
