Josie’s Table Popup Restaurant Launches in Fair Lawn
A new pop-up has recently launched in Fair Lawn, offering a weekly dose of comfort food inspired by generations of family tradition.
Josie’s Table is operating Sundays inside Taco Buzz at 12-76 River Road, bringing homestyle dishes and Polish staples to the local dining scene.
Founder Matt, a self-taught chef with nearly six years in the culinary industry, has worked at local eateries like Mima’s Cuban Café and Gus’ Last Word.
Now stepping out on his own, he’s launched this passion project to share the nostalgic meals that shaped her upbringing—meals lovingly passed down from family.
Menu highlights include Polish favorites like homemade pierogi, deconstructed stuffed cabbage, hearty soups, and appetizers—with plans to eventually expand the offerings.
The experience is meant to be intimate and familial: Josie runs the kitchen, while her husband helps with hosting and service, and extended family members pitch in to keep things running smoothly.
The popup is currently running every Sunday from noon till 6:00pm (or sellout).
