Beastro Cafe is Coming to Wallington

Chef-driven eatery The Beastro is getting ready to open in Wallington, offering a mix of comfort food and brunch-forward fare.

Located at 109 Locust Avenue, the space was originally intended as just a catering and events hub—but based on customer demand, it’s evolving into a full-service cafe and dining destination.

Founded by Chef John Thomas, a culinary veteran with over 20 years of experience, The Beastro combines an urban Bauhaus aesthetic with a diverse menu inspired by global flavors and seasonal local ingredients. Chef John’s resume includes stints at Upper Montclair Country Club, Saddle River Inn, Zeppelin Hall, and Sushi Lounge.

The upcoming space will seat approximately 30 guests, with potential for outdoor dining in the future and will continue to act as the brick-and-mortar home of the existing catering business.

Menu offerings will include brunch staples, fresh pastries and deli-style sandwiches.

Days of operation are tentatively set for Wednesday thru Saturday—though adjustments may follow based on demand.
