Double Bubble Cafe has officially opened its doors in Maywood at 43 W Pleasant Ave, bringing a mix of bubble waffles, bubble tea, crepes, pastries, coffee, and tea to the neighborhood.

The cafe is a project from Chefs Tony and Melissa Froyan, graduates of The Culinary Institute of America, who met during their time at the school in 2007.

Tony, a Maywood native, also appeared on Food Network’s BBQ Brawl with Bobby Flay (Season 3).

According to their website, the couple aims to create a community spot “for the local community to share and enjoy,” pairing their culinary background with a lighthearted approach to sweets and drinks.

It’s currently open seven days a week.
