A Sushi is now open at 430 Route 17 South in Carlstadt, marking the latest addition to Bergen County’s growing sushi scene.

The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat sushi experience in what ownerships hopes is a casual, cozy setting.

Behind the concept are Jay and CJ, two longtime sushi chefs with over a decade of experience each. Both have experience owning and operating sushi restautants in North Jersey (North Haledon and Ridgefield Park).

Their new collaboration in Carlstadt combines that expertise, aiming to fill a void in the area where they believe AYCE sushi options are limited.

While sushi is the main draw, the menu also includes teriyaki, udon soup, and fusion items like creamy pasta udon, offering something for diners who may not prefer seafood.

The restaurant is BYOB and seats up to 44 guests for both lunch and dinner.

A Sushi is currently open seven days a week.
