Ochado Bubble Tea has opened its second New Jersey location at 291 Main Street in Hackensack.

The business, which began in Japan, takes its name from the words ocha (tea) and chado (the Japanese way), according to its website.

The business is Filipino-family owned and describes its approach as “tea from the heart.”

The menu includes categories such as Brown Sugar Series, Cheesecake Drinks, Coffee Series, Cream Cheese Series, Fusion Iced Tea, Ice Blended Drinks, Milk Teas, and Halo-Halo—a dessert with roots in Filipino cuisine. Seasonal items are also listed. According to the business, offerings are “made with fresh, natural ingredients.”

Ochado was previously named among “New Jersey’s 15 best bubble tea shops” by NJ.com in a 2023 article (Read Story).

It’s currently open seven days a week.
