A new vegan bakery has opened in the heart of Maywood, bringing their take on plant-based desserts to Bergen County.

Kukki is the creation of sisters Miko and Amal Page, who launched the business with the goal of offering handcrafted, vegan-friendly treats made with care and intention.

The bakery focuses on small-batch production, using plant-based ingredients to create cookies that are both satisfying and accessible to a wide audience.

The idea for Kukki Vegan grew out of a shared passion for health, baking, and entrepreneurship.

Miko, a former professional golfer with a business degree, developed the recipes with an emphasis on balance and simplicity. Amal, whose love for baking and wellness started early, brought her own experience and creativity to the project, helping turn a vision into a storefront.

While the bakery is rooted in vegan values, the sisters aim to appeal to everyone—vegans, vegetarians, and traditional dessert lovers alike.

It’s currently open Tuesdays thru Saturdays.
