Opening Alert: Sleepwalker Coffee, Englewood, NJ

A new coffee shop, Sleepwalker Coffee, has officially opened its doors in Englewood.

Founded by two experienced baristas with a decade of experience in coffee shops and roasting, the pair set out to create their own space.

Their goal is to provide a welcoming environment for customers to work, relax with friends, or enjoy a casual coffee date. The shop emphasizes its dedication to high-quality coffee and a laid-back atmosphere.

The menu focuses on coffee and tea, offering traditional coffee and espresso drinks. Unlike larger chain coffee shops, Sleepwalker Coffee does not serve oversized macchiatos or blended drinks, choosing instead to focus on a more authentic coffee experience.

Pastries and baked goods are sourced from Balthazar Bakery, with macarons provided by Savor Patisserie.

The shop uses premium equipment, including Fiorenzato and Mahlkönig grinders as well as the Sanremo Café Racer Renegade espresso machine, which the owners call a “tank.”

Coffee is roasted by Maiden Coffee Roasters, a Monmouth County-based company that sources single-origin beans from regions in Central America, South America, and Africa. After extensive taste tests, the owners chose Maiden for its superior quality.

The seating includes a mix of tables, bench seating, rocking chairs, and a live-edge wood bar situated by the front window.

It’s currently open seven days a week.
