Chef Chris Holland, the celebrated three-time winner of Food Network’s Chopped and owner of Kantina in Sparkill, has opened his latest venture Kantina Kita.

The new establishment, located in Nyack, offers an “Asian-inspired tapas and cocktail bar” with a unique dual-concept approach featuring two distinct dining experiences.

The first is a traditional sit-down restaurant offering table service, where patrons can enjoy cocktails and what Holland describes as “creative sushi” — a contemporary twist on classic Japanese cuisine, much like the inventive tacos that have become a hallmark of his original Kantina restaurant.

The second concept, a fast-food takeout operation, is set to launch soon.

It’s menu will center around bento boxes featuring dishes inspired by a variety of Asian cuisines — additionally, the concept will include a selection of canned and bottled alcoholic beverages for customers on the go.

Currently, Kantina Kita operates five days a week, remaining closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
