“Dual Concept” Plans Revealed for Westwood Restaurant
An upcoming “dual-concept restaurant under one roof” that offers “two distinct dining experiences” is coming soon to Westwood.
It’s replacing Phoenician along Center Avenue — the same space that’s also formerly Bibi’z.
First is Morgan Steakhouse and Omakase Sushi Bar, which is being described by ownership as “a refined BYOB steakhouse and sushi experience”.
The menu will feature items like steak, sushi, vegetarian dishes, Italian pastas, and specials.
Second of the dual concepts is Flame & Fin by Morgan, which ownership shares as “a casual omakase sushi and burger restaurant”.
The menu includes sushi, burgers, salads, pasta, pizza and appetizers.
Partners of the business includes George Cattiny (Westwood Regional Veterinary Hospital & Pompton Lakes Animal Hospital) and John Presto Centrella – Centrella has over 40 years of restaurant, pizza and Italian cuisine experience as a “creator” behind Presto Pizza (West New York), Original Presto Pizza & Pasta (Hackensack), Let’s Meat Steakhouse (River Vale) and Vincent’s Cafe, (West New York).
Together, the concepts will employ three chefs from various industry pros with vast restaurant experience in North Jersey. One will also be an omakase “master”.
The steakhouse will have over 125 seats with a private VIP Room plus there will be an “Exclusive Wine Program Membership”.
Members get a private wine cabinet personalized with their name for a monthly fee – they’ll also receive “premium access” to special events, gatherings, wine tastings, brunches, and other exclusive activities.
There’s no word yet on an opening date.
