The Odd Bunch is Coming Soon to Wallington
The Odd Bunch is coming soon to Wallington.
Ownership is launching the sandwich shop — their “long-standing vision” for something that is “truly unique”.
While they “never initially planned to open a restaurant”, what sets this business apart is its “fusion of food and storytelling”.
Alongside a childhood friend and artist, plans are to be release timely artwork that coincides with updates to the restaurant and menu.
The menu will start small featuring a selection of classic sandwiches with a creative twist, as well as grilled bao buns — with a background in fine dining, guests can expect offerings like a duck confit bao or stuffed brie cheese bao that’s topped with foie gras and caviar.
A key feature will be their use of sous vide cooking, which will be showcased in the front of house.
This will not only serve as a “unique conversation piece”, but also provide an opportunity to “educate guests on the benefits of sous vide” prep.
In addition to the food offerings, there will be a “curated selection of unique juices and teas” designed as a “complement the menu”.
There’s no word yet on an opening date.
