Meltemi is now open in Ridgewood.

The eatery was designed so guests can “experience what real genuine Greek cuisine is about”.

Ownership and their family has been working in and around the restaurant business for many years.

Themelina Koulias is handling chef duties and she’s spent more than 30 years working in kitchens in across the USA and Europe — she and the owner hail from the same Aegean island and share the same food memories from home.

The restaurant has a Greek island theme serving “the Greek staples that you find in every Greek restaurant” along with a focus on “unique dishes from the island of Kalymnos”.

There’s seating for seventy five with an additional twenty five in their outdoor space.

It’s currently open seven days a week.
