Mexico Mi Amor is a new restaurant coming very soon to Dumont.

It’s replacing Da Mimmo, which closed it’s doors back in September.

The husband and wife ownership team are looking towards an opening sometime in March.

They previously owned a Mexican restaurant in the Bronx for the past fifteen plus years — now they’re bringing the business closer to home.

With almost one hundred seats, they’ll offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.

They hope to create a “beautiful and comfortable space” where “it’s fun to eat and hang out” — there will even be a “small toy/play area” for kids so parents can enjoy their meal.

For breakfast they’ll have Mexican dishes like chilaquiles and Mexican pastries — as well as some more typical American selections.

Lunch and dinner will be classic Mexican food: tacos, nachos, tostadas and more.
