NJ.com has published their latest list for New Jersey’s 41 best sushi restaurants, ranked, for 2025 (Read Post).

There’s a “growing appetite” for sushi in this country as it’s now a “$27.5 billion industry” according to the story.

Like many of these “best of” lists, the specifics on how places were rated and ranked was not shared.

The following three restaurants were the only from Bergen County to make the cut:

12. Shumi in Ridgewood (Website) which “place strives for nothing but high-grade fish”

30. Butterfish in Rutherford (Website) it’s recommended “for the full experience get one of the omakase packages”

37. Sushi by Sea in Ridgefield (Website) is summarized in two words: sushi speakeasy
