Opening Alert: Cheongsu, Fort Lee, NJ
Cheongsu, a café “rooted in nature, zen, and the timeless traditions of Korean culture”, has opened in Fort Lee.
This marks their first US café and “takes inspiration from Seoul’s rich heritage”, particularly the “tranquil charm of neighborhoods like Ikseon-dong”.
Infused with the “ethos of slowness and harmony”, the café invites guests to “reconnect with nature and savor moments of quiet reflection”.
The name Cheongsu means “clear water” in Korean — symbolizing “purity, flow, and the rejuvenating calm of nature, reflected in the café’s design and menu”.
From the moment guests step inside Cheongsu, they are welcomed by lush greenery intertwined with wooden lattice walls, volcanic stone centerpieces and ambient lighting — all “seamlessly spread across two serene floors” that “blend traditional Korean craftsmanship with modern elegance”.
Cheongsu’s menu (View Menu) “pays homage to Korean heritage” while “offering contemporary culinary flair” – offering everything from signature soufflés and yakgwa to misutgaru lattes and sparkling yuzu ade.
It’s currently open seven days a week.
