Bergen County is Home to Many of the Best Diners in Jersey
NJ.com has shared their picks for New Jersey’s 41 greatest diners, ranked, for 2024 (Read Story).
There are six hundred of them in the state, as they “beckon with promises of hefty menus, hearty food, smiling waitresses and endless coffee refills”.
Overall there were seven in Bergen County on the list.
White Manna in Hackensack (Website) was the only in the top #5, shared as the “state’s cutest diner” — they are probably most known for their burgers.
Then came Chit Chat Diner in Hackensack (Website) at #13, No need to hop a flight from Newark Airport to try foods from around the world
“Shiny, sprawling, stylish” is the description of Tom Sawyer Diner in Paramus (Website), came in on #16 on the list.
Dumont Crystal Diner in Dumont was #19 — State Line Diner in Mahwah (Website) was #20.
Arlington Diner in North Arlington came in #25 where “no Jersey diner is more beautiful at night”.
Colonial Diner in Lyndhurst was the final Bergen spot at #39.
