The folks over at NJ.com have shared their list of N.J.’s 71 best bakeries (Read Article).

Bakeries serve everything from pastry, cookies, cakes and pies — with this list published as it’s timed for the holiday season.

While this list was compiled by their staff, the exact way the list was determined was not specifically shared.

Of the seventy one on the list, six were located in Bergen County.

Rispoli’s Pastry Shop in Emerson (Website) is credited for having the “state’s best sfogliatelle and lobster tail”.

Balthazar Bakery in Englewood (Website) which got props for it’s galettes, pecan buns and tarts.

Black Magic Bakehouse in Ridgewood (Website) received high marks for the sourdough doughnuts.

Sook Pastry in Ridgewood (Website) has a Napoleon that’s “just about perfect”.

Erie Coffeeshop and Bakery in Rutherford (Website) has a selection that’s “compact and highly creative”.

Dulce de Leche Bakery in Englewood (Website) was highlighted for a “close to perfect” double mousse.
