Lula is Coming Soon to Ridgewood

Lula is a seasonal, new American restaurant coming soon to Ridgewood.

It is taking up shop on Oak Street, in the space that was previously Lisa’s Mediterranean Cuisine.

Conor Browne grew up in Ridgewood and has previously worked with Jonathan Waxman at JAMS in NYC, Lauren Hirschberg at Turtle & the Wolf in Upper Montclair, Anthony Bucco at Felina and Landmark Hospitality and Steve Christianson at St. Eve’s in Ho-Ho-Kus.

He wants to focus on community, keeping food “real simple and delicious” and letting the “ingredients do the talking” – emphasizing locally sourced, sustainable meats, fish, and produce.

Named after his daughter Lucy (her nickname is Lula), Browne envisions a “warm and inviting space” where people can gather to “enjoy food that is elevated yet approachable”.

Plans are to soft open sometime early in the new year.
