Roger Gross, owner of The Five Corner Shoppes Building, highlights the importance of supporting local business while also celebrating the revitalization of this historic building at the Northeast corner of Westwood Avenue.

Predating 1927, the Five Corners Building has long stood at the heart of Westwood, symbolizing the town’s growth and resilience. Its recent renovation has breathed new life into the building while “carefully preserving and honoring its original Flemish architectural design and rich history,” as Gross pointed out. With updated facades and exterior features, the building remains a link to Westwood’s past, while embracing its future as a retail and community hub.

Gross strongly believes in the historical significance of Bergen County and demonstrates his desire to “preserve our historic structures.”

He will be one of the Distinguished Honorees at the upcoming Bergen County Historical Society’s Raise the Roof, an evening to raise funds for the construction of a state-of-the-art Visitor Center and Museum at Historic New Bridge Landing.

As Gross commented, “I believe in preserving the old and making it even better and our renovations to The Five Corners Building did just that – maintaining history while bringing in new and exciting shops.”

Visitors can explore a mix of both new and beloved local businesses at The Five Corners Shoppes, which offer something for everyone:
