Al Dente is a new restaurant now open in Westwood.

It’s designed as a casual dining/takeout experience where “everything is homemade” and “cooked right in front” of guests.

The ownership team includes a number industry vets — including experience at Morton’s, Napa Valley Grille – and other restaurants including The Firehouse (Madison, NJ).

Crafted from Caputo flour from Italy, the machine is out front so customers can watch the pasta-making process live.

Their menu (View Menu) is focused mostly on the pasta options for lunch and dinner.

Guests can choose from a list of House Specialties or design their own pasta creation.

There’s also a selection of salads and appetizers to round out the menu — plus they bake their own focaccia and make all the dressings and sauces.

It’s currently open seven days a week.
