The Oceanaire Seafood Room, the seafood-centric restaurant and bar, has closed it’s only New Jersey outlet in Hackensack.

Located at The Shops at Riverside, the eatery opened in late 2013 (Read Story), replacing similarly themed McCormick & Schmick’s.

It’s menu featured a raw bar, soups, salads, seafood-heavy appetizers and entrees along with steakhouse selection for the non-seafood eater.

This isn’t the only closing at the mall in the last year, with The Grill ending it’s short run sometime in 2023 — which itself replaced LT Bar & Grill, a restaurant from lauded chef Laurent Tourondel that shuttered in late 2022.

There’s no word yet on what might be taking it’s place.
