The folks over at NJ.com have shared their list of New Jersey’s 101 greatest pizzas, ranked (Read Article).

The article claims that New Jersey is “unequivocally the pizza capital of America”.

Not ranking of pizzerias, this is a list of the best specific pies.

While this list was compiled by their staff, they judged the pies on “taste, texture, originality” and whether they’d “come back” for more.

Of the one hundred and one on the list, eleven of the pies were from places located in Bergen County.

The two highest ranking were the Diavolina pie at Aumm Aumm (Website) in Englewood. Their large rectangular pie has a texture that is a “game0changer”. With the Diavolina being topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, sharp grana Padanao and hot soppressata. It was at number 18.

And at number 28 was the plain pie at Pizza Town USA in Elmwood Park. It’s pizza is “crispy” and “very well-seasoned”.
