North Jersey Restaurant ‘Literally’ Serves ‘Best Hummus’

The New Yorker published an article about Al-Basha, a “trio of storefronts” in Paterson (Read Article).

It was the “first restaurant in Paterson” to “identify as Palestinian” when it opened twenty five years ago in 1998.

According to author Helen Rosner’s Instagram (See Post), she wanted to make the headline “This is literally the best hummus I’ve ever had in my life”.

Aside from the aforementioned hummus, the article highlighted dishes like muhammara (tomato paste and ground walnuts spread, cakdunsiah (parsley and tahini purée), kofte, tiny lamb chops and more.
