Hummus Republic is the latest chain expanding to the area.

It’s a fast casual brand that features Mediterranean food.

A sign is up on Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus announcing it’s coming soon.

There are already a number of locations of Hummus Republic in New Jersey, this is the first planned in Bergen County.

The menu (View Menu) features custom meals featuring wraps, pitas or bowls. Customers choose a base (i.e couscous, beans, greens), hummus/spread, protein (i.e. steak, chicken, falafel, mushrooms),  “unlimited” toppings, and dressings.

According to their website, they are committed to sustainability with compostable cups, bowls, cutlery, and straws — plus they have a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free menu items.

The space is under construction with no word on an opening date.
