Former LES Vegan Chinese Spot Headed to Englewood

Fat Choy, which closed last year, is coming to Englewood according to Eater (Read Story).

The “vegan Chinese-leaning restaurant” from Chef Justin Lee was the recipient of high praise during it’s two year run on the Lower East Side.

Eater itself said the “ambitious” business “ushered in a new era of Chinese food” (Read Story).

The menu includes items like mushroom sloppy joes and and salt-and-pepper cauliflower.

It’s coming to 52 East Palisades Avenue, which was reported here first to be home for a Kosher food hall (Read Story), though that apparently has changed.

An August opening is currently planned for the sit down restaurant.
