The founders and partners of Sparo’s Deli have announced the opening of a second location of their Italian deli-style sandwich shop in Ramsey — expanding beyond Essex County to Bergen County

Established in 2019 in Upper Montclair — it’s developed a loyal following and received local awards — the new shop is located in the heart of downtown Ramsey offering a selection of classic, signature and premium hot and cold sandwiches, various salads, sides and more.

Chef Adam Rose and Mike Sparacino, two childhood friends from Nutley, reunited years later and to combine their skillsets and passion for their Italian roots to create Sparo’s.

Their “collective vision” was creating an Italian-style deli and sandwich shop utilizing family recipes and adding their own unique blend of creativity to “develop an upscale signature sandwich menu that uses quality and locally sourced ingredients”.

In addition to the wide array of hot and cold sandwiches, there are house-made salads, soups, fries, and more available. Guests have the option to create their own custom sandwiches from the vast array of ingredients.

Sparo’s takes pride in working with local vendors for meats, bread, produce and cold cuts.

Open seven days a week, this location will offer dine-in, take out and delivery options with a few al fresco sidewalk seats.
