Now open for about a month, Vinnie’s Mootz, Lyndhurst’s fresh-made mozzarella and burrata shop, has moved from Ridge Road to a bigger spot at 356 Valley Brook Avenue.

With this new 2,000 square foot location, owner Vincent Morelli has expanded his offerings and aims to create “that old school home feeling, like eating at nonna’s.”

Customers can choose from a selection of Morelli’s signature specialty hand-pulled plain and stuffed fiore di latte “mootz” (a heavy cream, whole milk mozzarella), along with burrata and boccocini balls, all of which he learned to make during childhood visits to Caserta, Italy.

The updated menu (View Menu) also includes more artisanal “sangweech” (sandwich) specials and newer items like a square tomato pizza.

Everything is available for carry-out and delivery, plus there are 40 seats to enjoy it all on-site.

It’s open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am to 6pm and Sundays from 9am to 3pm (closed Mondays).
