Middle Eastern Eatery From NYC Hits Bergen Next Month

In less than a month, Naya will open it’s first New Jersey location in Paramus.

What began in 2010, the Naya concept is drawn from recipes inherited from older generations and “refined for modern diners”. The brand also works to ensure “consistent quality and freshness of its ingredients” and the generous portion sizes.

Upon entering the restaurant, guests can choose their Base: a NAYA Roll (pita), Bowl (white rice or five different kinds of seasonal grains), Salad (Romaine hearts or a seasonal blend with sumac pomegranate vinaigrette).

Next a protein is picked including CHICKEN SHAWARMA (roasted, marinated chicken), CHICKEN SHISH TAOUK (grilled marinated chicken breast), BEEF SHAWARMA (roasted, marinated beef), KAFTA LAMB KEBAB (grilled seasoned beef & lamb meatballs), CAULIFLOWER (roasted florets, turmeric, za’atar dukkah), and FALAFEL (fried chickpea croquette, herbs, spices)

Rolls, bowls and salad can be customized with up to 17 different toppings. These include Middle Eastern classics like Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, and Lemon Tahini. Other items include Toum Garlic Whip, Pickled Lebanese Cucumbers, Turnips, Jalapeños and more.

There’s also a number of cold and hot apps, like Tabboule, Grape Leaves, Kibbe, Fatayer Rekakat and more.

It’s expected to open Friday, March 3rd and once operating offering lunch and dinner seven days a week.
