Korean & Japanese Restaurant Expected in Westwood After Renovation

Bon, offering Korean and Japanese fare (in particular omakase), is coming sometime later this year to Westwood.

Ownership is still in the early renovation stage, they are doing a complete gut of the space that formerly housed It’s Greek to Me and George’s Grill. Depending on many factors, they hope it will be complete in a couple of months.

As far as the food, it will be as mentioned: Korean & Japanese. Expect a “traditional” Korean menu, that will be “distinctly” Korean with a focus on jungsik.

Sushi is the focus of a sushi bar that will be reservation-based offering omakase. There will also be a la carte and menu items that are “familiar” Japanese sushi spots.

It’s also been stressed that this will not be a fusion restaurant and plans are also in the works for an “Asian-inspired brunch”.

Expect more details forthcoming as the opening gets closer.
