After the announcement back in mid-January that Village Grille in Waldwick had been sold, it was only a matter of time before details emerged about it’s replacement.

The previous owners of W’s Grill in Oakland will be opening W’s Village Grille. After closing W’s after an 8 year run last year, they will re-opening the Village Grille space after making some renovations.

The owner Charlie worked for the New York Yankees for 21 years prior to operating the Oakland restaurant.

Waldwick is the family’s hometown and only a short drive from the former Oakland spot.
