Fogo de Chão Opening Paramus Location Next Month

Fogo de Chão, the internationally-renowned restaurant from Brazil, will debut in New Jersey next month with a location in Paramus.

Slotted for Monday, February 13th, the new restaurant occupies two levels of Garden State Plaza near Macy’s.

As part of their introduction to the community, Fogo will donate a portion of its first week of sales to Community Food Bank of New Jersey, an affiliate of Feeding America. Feeding America helps provide meals to children, seniors, families, and survivors of natural disasters in the communities they serve.

“As we continue our global growth, we are proud to partner with Westfield on the opening of our first New Jersey restaurant and couldn’t have asked for a better location than at Garden State Plaza,” said Barry McGowan, Chief Executive Officer of Fogo de Chão. “For over 45 years, Fogo has provided guests with authentic Brazilian hospitality and incredible experiences from Brazil to the U.S. and all over the world. We look forward to sharing our elevated dining experience with the Paramus community soon.”

The new restaurant features an expansive dining room centered around an open-air churrasco grill where guests can dine while watching gaucho chefs demonstrate the culinary art of churrasco as they butcher, prepare and grill different cuts of protein over an open flame. The Paramus location also showcases a white Carrara marble Market Table, soaring wine cases, dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging and a lively indoor Bar Fogo area. Additional experiential elements unique to this location include the Next Level Lounge on the second level, where guests can relax with a pour of premium whiskey or
bourbon.

The Paramus team will be led by General Manager Rogerio Molinaro. Born and raised in Brazil, Molinaro began his career with Fogo de Chão in 2015 in New York City as a server, working his way through the ranks to his current position in Paramus. Molinaro and his team are bringing 130 local jobs to the community for talented individuals who are committed to delivering an exceptional experience to all guests.

Fire-roasted cuts are the core of Fogo’s experience and include guest favorites such as Bone-In Ribeye, Lamb Chops and the house specialty, Picanha, the prime part of the top sirloin. Fogo Paramus offers a range of menu selections and prices to fit guests’ needs for lunch and dinner.

A dining experience for all ages, children six and under enjoy complimentary dining at Fogo Paramus and ages seven to twelve dine at half-price for the Full Churrasco Experience.
