As far as traditions go, this is one of favorite/only ones that we’ve got.

Each year before we sign off, we like mention a few faves from the past twelve months.

Here are the few bites from the 150+ new restaurants (no, we didn’t eat at anywhere near all of them) that opened in 2022 that we really enjoyed and keep thinking about.

Cheese Stick from Liv Breads in Englewood (Website) – It’s puff pastry twisted with gouda cheese. Simple.

Lobster Tacos at Eddie V’s in Paramus (Website) – They feature Maine-fresh lobster and homemade tortillas.

Pizza Slice at Pizza Knight in Hackensack (Website) – It’s a classic slice of pizza. But the way it should be.

Omakase at Sushi by Sea in *location undisclosed* (Website) – Get on the list, sit back and enjoy the fish.

Fried Oyster Mushrooms (pictured) at Kantina in Sparkill (Website) – You might be more familiar with Chef Chris Holland’s Broccoli Bites (also excellent). Try these instead.
