The Original Plantwich, a 100% plant-based cafe, is coming to Glen Rock next week.

The brainchild of good friends Brittany and Anthony, after throwing around the idea, they came together with their skillsets to bring it to life. Both have been partners in other restaurants and were looking to get back into the industry.

It’s being described as “a tasty and unique take on breakfast”, with the plantwiches each being “all about the specially created sauce accompanying” it — Honey Mustard, Bleu Cheese, Dill Pickle and Everything Bagel.

There will be nine plantwiches on the menu, including a create your own variety. They will often also have a rotating plantwich as a special.

Additionally, they will have a grab and go fridge with weekly and daily specials — from anything like energy and protein balls, to containers of chickpea ‘tuna’, fresh-made guacamole and possibly to-go lunch plantwiches.

The pickup only shop — there will be outdoor seating weather permitting — has announced they will open on August 3rd.
