North Jersey Ghost Kitchen Expanding With Storefront

After taking a job as a doorman for more financial stability, Anthony Vasquez found himself laid off in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic.

Since he and wife Tara Tully-Vasquez both have an extensive background in the food industry, they launched Rafaella’s as a ghost kitchen in Bergenfield, promoting meals catering, and more through social media.

Anthony originally worked alongside his mother, four time Latin Grammy award winner Milly Quezada, as a performer in the entertainment industry before discovering another passion for food. He has since worked with many active community programs such like the Long Island Teen Challenge as head cook, Levy Chefs at the US and the Hebrew National stand at Mets games in Shea Stadium.

Tara grew up in Hampton Bays and was basically raised in the restaurant industry under the guidance of her uncle, a classically trained chef who owned and operated several food establishments throughout the Hamptons. Additionally, she learned to bake working alongside her beloved grandmother and has worked for several notable restaurants in Manhattan and Miami.

Rafaella’s is now branching out as takeout restaurant in Bergenfield, with a menu of hot dogs, sandwiches, desserts and more along with a full catering menu. Expect the menu to expand sometime after their soft opening period.

Vasquez expects to open sometime in early June.
