Five Dimes Brewery, which first came to light publicly in 2019, has announced their opening later this month in Westwood.

It’s the brainchild of owner Chris Alepa, who’s passion for beer began as a home brewer for many years.

The brewery is named after the longtime five and dime store L.N. Grand that it has replaced. After initially planned to include a restaurant, the 3000 square foot space now simple includes an area for brewing and a tasting room.

There’s been an extensive overhaul, which also includes the use of the rooftop for an outdoor beer garden. Expect that space to be utilized during the warmer weather months.

Their grand opening weekend is currently slated for April 22nd-24th with a total of eight beers on tap and live music planned.
