It’s year end, so NJ.com has shared their picks for New Jersey’s 21 best restaurants of 2021, ranked (View Full List).

There was only one Bergen County restaurant on the list, which opened earlier this summer at American Dream in East Rutherford.

It was German Doner Kebab, which brough it’s fast-casual operation to the US in August as part of a large planned expansion.

The highlight of their menu is the doner kebab with doner meat, veggies, and sauces on their “waffle bread” according to the article. Writer Jeremy Schneider noted that this “sandwich alone is worth the trip to the Meadowlands”.
