Petal Dust Cakery has opened their first brick and mortar shop in Glen Rock.

This baked good business is from Cristina Vasquez, a Fair Lawn native who began baking a local shop as a teenager.

The Johnson and Wales grad received a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and worked as a pastry chef in Ireland and Connecticut.

Vasquez also has made a mark on TV, as a finalist on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship (Season 4 — Learn More), Halloween Cake Off Champion (Season 1), and Big Time Bake Winner (Season 1).

It’s currently open six days a week (closed Mondays).
