Petal Dust Cakery, which has been teasing it’s launch since at least June, will soft open their first brick and mortar shop this weekend in Glen Rock.

It’s being dubbed a “SOFT OPENING HALLOWEEN POP UP EVENT” and will be this Sunday, October 31st from 11am till sell out. There will be “festive goodies” for purchase and a grand opening announcment plus a first look at their Thanksgiving menu.

The baked good business is from Cristina Vasquez, a Fair Lawn native who began baking a local bake shop as a teenager. The Johnson and Wales grad received a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and worked as a pastry chef in Ireland and Connecticut.

Vasquez also has made a mark on TV, as a finalist on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship (Season 4 — Learn More), Halloween Cake Off Champion (Season 1), and Big Time Bake Winner (Season 1).
