Jersey was the only state that prohibited the practice, but now a set of rules has been released for those looking to run a business at home.
The rules include keeping a clean and safe environment, the business cannot exceed $50,000 a year, and there can be on-site inspections if someone complains.
There is also a limit to what products can be made and labelling of all ingredients plus the fact that it was made in a home kitchen.
