Bobby Wong’s Tao House has opened inside Ondubu, a fast casual tofu restaurant in Rutherford.

Bobby has been in the restaurant industry for over 25 years. He has opened several successful restaurants including Village Gourmet, Taos, Mingnon and Delmonico. Some of the the food and sauces are recipes from the former Taos and Village Gourmet.

Offering “elevated Chinese food” (see menu below), the restaurant is the “first of its kind” where you can build your own Chinese food meal. You pick a protein, sauce and side options along with extras like bao buns and sweet cheesecake wontons.

Tao House has a signature dish, which is Tao House chicken that’s served with original sauce and yellow rice. The original sauce is sweet and tangy with “just the right amount of spice”.
