Chimney Cake Shop Soft Opening this Week in North Jersey

Kurly Kurtosh, the boutique dessert bakery and caterer that focuses on chimney cakes, will be soft opening their dedicated storefront cafe this week in Nutley.

The business began at local farmers’ markets, food events and as a catering service, with owner Nicole Shaw-Provillon eventually expanding with a shared space in Hackensack through earlier this year. She’s now making a go on her own, moving into a dedicated space that’s been completely renovated to spotlight and expand her brand.

Serving artisan chimney cakes, a popular street food in Central Europe (they’re typically referred to as Hungarian chimney cakes) that’s described as a “cross between a pastry and French beignet” with “a crispy, flavorful outside and a soft, fluffy inside”. The cafe will also feature other baked treats and coffee — plus full service catering options along with various gift boxes, baskets and more.
