It closed in 2018 and then reopened again in 2019, but it appears General Poor’s Tavern in Hackensack has been shuttered for a while and a replacement is on it’s way.

A business named SideBar is expected to take home at 45 Main Street — located in the former National Hotel and home to Poor’s after approximately a forty year residence.

It’s billed as a gastropub, though so far the only details that have surfaced is a new blue paint job on the building’s exterior (not shown).

Unfortunately there’s nothing else to share at the moment.
