Underground Ramen & Taco, a new neighborhood ramen spot, has opened in Chestnut Ridge.

A collaboration between Dave Venitelli of Harvest Moon and partner/chef Hank Barrett, the menu goes beyond ramen dubbed “Asian cuisine with and American twist”.

Barrett said he’s doing food that “I know people will find interesting and familiar”, using high quality ingredients from Goffle Farm and Duryea Farm that “showcase my travel and culinary experiences”.

The menu also includes small plates, tacos and items Barrett describes as “bar food”.

Currently it’s open six days a week (Tuesday-Sunday) for lunch and dinner with brunch planned later in the year.
