Petal Dust Cakery (Website) is opening a brick and mortar in Glen Rock.

A baked good business from Cristina Vasquez, a Fair Lawn native who began baking a local bake shop as a teenager. The Johnson and Wales grad received a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and worked as a pastry chef in Ireland and Connecticut.

Vasquez also has made a mark on TV, as a finalist on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship (Season 4 — Learn More), Halloween Cake Off Champion (Season 1), and Big Time Bake Winner (Season 1).

Petal Dust offers cakes, macarons, cupcakes and more.

The shop’s location — no specific address given — will be off of Rodney St around the corner from Rock and Main.

Plans are to open the shop sometime this summer.
