Opening Alert: True Food Kitchen, Hackensack, NJ

True Food Kitchen, the award-winning restaurant brand, has opened their first New Jersey location at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack.

Co-founded by integrative medicine expert, Dr. Andrew Weil, True Food Kitchen’s seasonal menu is guided by the principles of his anti-inflammatory food pyramid — “emphasizing wholesome, simple ingredients with thoughtful preparations to highlight the natural benefits and flavors of each ingredient”.

The space includes a “garden-inspired dining room” featuring draping vines of pothos and ivy, artwork inspired by the ingredients from the brand’s menu, and murals designed to “reinforce True Food’s mission and values”. This includes eco-friendly materials like dining chairs made of recycled soda bottles.
