Not just a New York staple anymore, they can literally be found everywhere and anywhere across the country.

While the specific terms of how this was tabulated, the food scene was up in arms the last few weeks as well when the New York Times hailed California bagels were better than New York (Read Article).

The lone Jersey spot on the list is Teaneck Hot Bagels in Teaneck. The Kosher bagels were highlighted for being the “perfect size” with the “perfect texture inside and out”.
