NJ.com couldn’t wait till October and National Taco Day to share their latest list New Jersey’s 31 greatest tacos, ranked (Read Full List).

Though it’s unclear how this list was specifically constructed – how many taco spots were tried, etc – the list is here anyway for everyone to debate.

Bergen County didn’t rank too high, with the Golden avocado taco – with the “crisp exterior of the avocado that gives way to a creamy exterior” – at recently opened Tacoria in Paramus (Website) coming in at #25. There was also the interesting choice of the Maine lobster taco at The Park Steakhouse in Park Ridge (Website) at #28.

Not too far away, the Birria taco at Chofi Birria in Union City, the OG of birria spots in North Jersey came in at #4.
