QSR, the industry magazine covering the quick service restaurant segment, has shared their picks for their annual 40/40 List for 2021, which names America’s Hottest Startup Fast Casuals (Read Full List).

It was created in 2019 to find the “next big thing” in the industry, those places that are innovating but also pushing food ideas and concepts — even as the pandemic “completely shuffled the deck” last year.

The Salad House, which is headquartered in Westfield, was one of the restaurants named this year. In addition to their six existing stores — Montclair, Westfield — they will be opening in Englewood later this year.

Specifically they were highlighted for their menu, which in addition to salad covers sandwiches, soups, smoothies and more.
