The Lab Burger Co will be the newest restaurant to join Oradell’s downtown later this year.

The operation is from the owners of neighboring Calabria Pizza, it’s named both for their original restaurant CaLABria Pizza and in memory of Minx, their beloved Black Labrador.

While the exact menu is still in the works, they will be offering 100% grass-fed beef burger creations, along with chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, and onion rings. There’s also plans for a rotating dessert menu, featuring house made cookies, whoopee pies, shakes, ice cream sandwiches and other sweet sides.

When possible, they plan on using locally-sourced produce, meat and poultry products along with eco-friendly takeout and paper items — avoiding plastic whenever possible.

The shop is currently under construction, but they are aiming to open sometime in early spring.
