Amore Pizza by jack calandra, is the latest pizzeria from owner and chef Jack Calandra.

This is his fifth establishment, opening as far back as 1989 (one at a time, not all at once) in Newark, Bloomfield, and Montclair.

The menu (View Menu) is clearly Italian with pizza, sandwiches, homemade soups (made by Nonna), Italian entrees, and salad. For pizza, the round grandma is their top seller, plus the Sicilian pie is crafted with sauce on the top and cheese on the bottom.

Serving lunch and dinner, they offer direct delivery and will offer outdoor seating in the spring. They are currently open six days (closed Sundays) from 10:00am-9:00pm Monday-Friday and 11:00am-9:00pm on Saturday.
